About Us

PEP productions is a full service production company specializing in live theater, festivals and concerts. PEP’s premier of THE AIR PIRATES RADIO THEATER, was named the Best Theatre Troupe in the Hudson Valley 2007 by the Times Herald Record readers’ poll. This followed the successful AMERICA FOR SALE, a one act play festival held in Newburgh in August of 2006.
Some of the festivals produced by PEP include: Sixteen FIRST NIGHT CELEBRATIONS of the Arts, THE NEW JERSEY STATE DANCE FESTIVAL, REGGAE ROOTS MUSIC FESTIVALS, MONDAY NIGHT MUSIC, an eight part Jazz Series, MOONLIGHT NIGHTS CONCERTS, and ART AT NOON series of lunch-time concerts. PEP has also produced numerous plays including those of Pedro Juan Pietri, Len Jenkin, Sam Shepard and Lanford Wilson. The successful AMERICA PLAY FESITVALS have included plays by Richard Dresser, Dick Zigun, Donna Spector, and Willie Holtzman.
In recent years PEP has worked with several cities and organizations in strategic and community planning including: Montclair, NJ, Newburgh, NY, Orange and Bergen Counties. In the past PEP’s services have been used by art centers and companies such as The William’s Center for the Arts, The Garden State Chamber Orchestra, Fast Talk Productions and The New Actors’ Repertory Company.
In an effort to bring small business and corporations into arts production, PEP developed its sponsorship program to reflect a philosophy of partnership. PEP regards sponsors as business partners, whose goals and objectives are as important as its own. PEP continues to seek those businesses whose history, practices and philosophy are compatible with its own: artistic excellence, community, determination, inclusion, and fairness.
In partnership with the Chester Recreation Department and the Lycian Centre, PEP productions will debut the Chester Youth Theater beginning July 8, 2008. In the fall PEP will open Music from the Valley, a live radio show featuring musicians from the Hudson Valley.
